In February 2026, the PPH Foundation, led by Dr Kireki Omanwa, Co-Lead of the End PPH Initiative, held a strategic engagement with the Kenya Scouts Association in Nairobi to strengthen collaboration ahead of the 3rd PPH Run and other maternal health advocacy activities. The meeting focused on expanding youth participation in postpartum haemorrhage awareness and safer motherhood campaigns through structured community engagement.
The partnership includes development of tailored PPH awareness content and introduction of a special badge for scouts completing the training. Led by National Executive Commissioner Moses Danda, the Association is supporting nationwide mobilisation efforts, with over 5,000 scouts expected to participate in the 3rd PPH Run as part of the growing movement to end preventable maternal deaths.
