Dr Kireki Omanwa, a Co-Lead at the End PPH Initiative, participated in the What Women Want Summit 4.0 held from 27–29 March 2026 in Nairobi, a high-level platform that convened leaders and experts to advance conversations on women’s empowerment, including health.
During the summit, he contributed to discussions on women’s health, emphasizing the critical importance of access to quality maternal care and the need to strengthen health systems to address preventable maternal and newborn outcomes.
His participation reinforced the role of clinical experts in shaping broader conversations on women’s wellbeing, ensuring that maternal health remains central within the wider agenda of women’s empowerment.
