The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The End Postpartum Haemorrhage Initiative addressed key issues on women’s health and fertility during an International Women’s Day panel held in March 2026. Representing the Initiative, Dr Kireki Omanwa, a Co-Lead at the initiative, discussed challenges affecting women’s reproductive health, including fertility outcomes and the importance of early identification and management of underlying conditions. He emphasized that strengthening reproductive health services across the life course is essential for improving maternal outcomes and reducing vulnerability to pregnancy and childbirth complications, including postpartum haemorrhage. The engagement contributed to broader discussions on advancing comprehensive, women-centered health care.
