The End Postpartum Haemorrhage Initiative participated in the practical implementation session on the WHO, FIGO and ICM consolidated postpartum haemorrhage guidelines during the International Maternal and Newborn Health Conference held in Nairobi in March 2026. The session, convened with participation from World Health Organization, UNFPA, UNICEF, FIGO, and ICM, focused on translating global recommendations into clinical practice. Representing the Initiative, Prof Ann Beatrice Kihara engaged in simulation-based learning, standardized care pathways, and system readiness discussions aimed at improving timely response to postpartum haemorrhage and strengthening maternal survival outcomes.
