The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
On 29 May 2026, the PPH Foundation officially launched the inaugural PPH School, Africa at NATIL House in West lands. The first cohort comprised nearly 40 pre-service medical doctors, midwives and nurses from the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Aga Khan University Hospital, Amref International University and Jacaranda Health. The launch session was led by Prof Moses Obimbo, Project Lead of the End PPH Initiative, who introduced the vision of the School as a multidisciplinary platform aimed at strengthening innovation, advocacy, skills development, and leadership in postpartum haemorrhage prevention and response. He emphasized the role of young healthcare professionals in supporting safer motherhood and reducing preventable maternal deaths from postpartum haemorrhage. The school is convened in partnership with the Ministry of Health, ICRH, CHAI, Beginnings Fund, and Proximie Global
