The PPH Foundation, through the ROAMING initiative, continued stakeholder discussions on strengthening Kenya’s blood supply chain to improve access to safe and adequate blood for women experiencing postpartum haemorrhage. The discussions examined the different stages of the blood supply system, from donor mobilisation and collection to screening, processing, storage, transportation and distribution. The Foundation emphasised the importance of addressing gaps across the entire chain rather than focusing solely on blood collection. By bringing stakeholders together around these interconnected challenges, the Foundation is contributing to efforts to strengthen coordination, improve efficiency and build a more reliable blood supply system capable of responding to maternal emergencies.
